The whole home renovation on this 1800s row house in Philadelphia’s Rittenhouse Square was for previous clients from Aspen. Their vision was to mix a bit of luxury modern style into a traditional rowhouse, and due to city regulations for historical houses, we designed many aspects of the home ourselves. Nature was brought indoors through sophisticated touches, such as the finished beams in the kitchen, the textured tile feature wall in the dining room, and the inclusion of organic elements throughout. The partition wall in the dining room is my favorite design element; it was a well-integrated piece that showcased sculptural art while hiding the stairwell. A color palette of warm neutrals flowed through the home and tied everything together.
