Inspiration From Coco Chanel
My years of experience in luxury fashion merchandising and marketing unleashed a devotion to refinement and beauty in the detail of finished products. Using that experience and devotion was a natural conduit to the interior design industry.
I continue to be inspired by timeless, classic beauty. Simple elegance is where my design aesthetic is rooted. On my most recent trip to the always fabulous City of Light – Paris, experiencing the architecture and historic sights only reinforced this belief. A stop at the House of Chanel was the highlight of my trip – its timeless, classic beauty filled me with inspiration. The House of Chanel makes luxury in both apparel and environments remarkably simple.
The impeccable expression of simple, timeless lines and shapes in the refined apparel design was carried through to the interior space, also designed by the iconic Coco Chanel. The classic mirrored spiral staircase will never be outdated. The stairs were covered in a sand-like neutral carpeting that, when used against the mirrored walls and wrought iron handrail, was completely modern and beautiful.
I always suggest that simple, timeless elegance leads to a successful end result in design, as inspired by Coco Chanel.
